On Thursday, May 8th, Littleton Coin Company honored its quality employees with a special luncheon. During lunch, Chief Operating Officer Mike Morelli outlined the qualities honored by the program and identified each of the 7 recipients' special achievements. Recognized for their outstanding achievement within their departments were: Anna Cushman, Sales; Deb Davidson, Shipping & Receiving; Anita De Ponte, Marketing; Martha Dunbar, Analyzing; Robin Guilbault, Order Processing; Lori Sweeney, Coin Inventory; and Jill Whittemore, Coin Processing,.
In presenting the awards, Mike Morelli described the program so all new employees would be aware of its purpose. "Quality is taking pride in the work you do and how you deal with your customer. Your customer can be someone buying coins from LCC... or another LCC employee."
The awards program recognizes those employees who have distinguished themselves by their outstanding attention to quality within their departments. Through contributions like these, Littleton's customers enjoy a superior level of service. There are two levels: departmental awards, given in the spring and fall of each year; and an annual award, with one "Quality Employee of the Year" receiving company-wide recognition in January.
Littleton Coin Company began over half a century ago, in 1945. Growth has transformed it into one of the largest coin and paper money mail-order companies in the world, employing approximately 330 people and handling nearly 1.5 million pieces of mail annually.
